About this case

Teva Pharmaceuticals will pay $35 million to resolve a class action alleging it impeded generic competition for its QVAR and QVAR Redihaler asthma inhalers. The class includes purchasers or payors who bought or reimbursed QVAR products from Jan. 1, 2015 through July 31, 2025 in 42 states and the District of Columbia. QVAR and QVAR Redihaler are brand corticosteroids that prevent asthma attacks. Plaintiffs contend Teva employed product hops, sham litigation, improper patent listings and reverse payments to keep prices elevated; Teva denies wrongdoing. Eligible class members may receive cash, with larger awards available to those who provide proof of purchase.
