Hagens Berman’s data privacy team has filed a class-action lawsuit against PowerSchool Holdings Inc., the owner of Schoology, Naviance, Performance Matters, and SchoolMessenger, alleging violations of student data privacy. Attorneys assert that these platforms—used by more than 45 million students worldwide—collect highly sensitive personal information from children, including their educational records and all activities and communications while using the software.
