Hagens Berman’s consumer rights team filed a class action against Costco Wholesale Corp., the manufacturer and seller of Kirkland Signature tequila, alleging the product is not “100% Blue Weber Agave” as marketed. Costco labels it “100% DE AGAVE” and “100% AGAVE AZUL,” but attorneys say evidence indicates the tequila contains substantial cane or other non-tequila alcohol while being sold as a premium product. Plaintiffs allege consumers were misled and might have bought other products if aware of the ingredients.
