A suspected front-airbag defect in at least 30 million vehicles is being investigated after being linked to at least two deaths and several serious injuries in the U.S. and Canada. Impacted vehicles use an ARC Automotive, Inc. airbag inflator that may over-pressurize and rupture on deployment, endangering occupants. The alleged defect affects certain models from Audi, BMW, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Ford, General Motors, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes, and Volkswagen.
