Plaintiffs in Ozempic litigation assert that drugmaker Novo Nordisk failed to adequately warn them about the medication’s potential risks, including nonarteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION) causing severe vision loss, bowel injury (ileus), necrotizing pancreatitis, pulmonary embolism, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and death. The first lawsuits were filed in August 2023, and additional suits continue to be filed.
