Arqit Quantum Inc., formerly Centricus Acquisition Corp., will pay $7 million in cash to resolve a federal securities class action. The settlement obtained preliminary approval on February 3, 2026; a final fairness hearing is set for June 1, 2026. The class covers buyers of Arqit/Centricus securities from September 7, 2021 through April 18, 2022 and holders of Centricus shares on the August 31, 2021 special-meeting record date. Plaintiffs alleged the company misrepresented the capabilities of its QuantumCloud™ technology and its competitive position during the merger and early trading period.
