About this case
Nutramax Laboratories will pay $11.5 million to resolve a class-action claim that it overstated the benefits of its Cosequin supplements. The settlement applies to California buyers of Cosequin DS Maximum Strength Chewable Tablets; Cosequin DS Maximum Strength Plus MSM Chewable Tablets; Cosequin Maximum Strength Plus MSM Chewable Tablets; Cosequin with MSM Chewable Tablets; Cosequin Maximum Strength Plus MSM Soft Chews; Cosequin with MSM Soft Chews; and Cosequin DS Maximum Strength Plus MSM Soft Chews purchased between May 3, 2016 and May 6, 2022. Plaintiffs allege Nutramax falsely marketed Cosequin as supporting mobility, cartilage and joint health, and a healthy, active lifestyle despite no scientific proof. Nutramax is a supplement maker that sells products for people and pets, including the canine joint supplement Cosequin.
