About this case

GlaxoSmithKline reached a class-action settlement over claims its “Big Bad Cough” ads gave a false impression that Boostrix prevented transmission of whooping cough. The deal applies to adults who saw the campaign and either lived in New York at that time or received Boostrix in New York between May 20, 2016 and May 20, 2020. The 2015–2020 campaign used humanized wolves to promote Boostrix, a tetanus–diphtheria–pertussis vaccine. Plaintiffs say they would not have bought the pertussis shot if properly informed.
