Purchasers of Joy/JM My Little Steamer Go Mini or Deluxe covered by a recall may qualify for relief under a class settlement with Ingenious Designs and other defendants over alleged safety defects. The class consists of buyers from Jan. 1, 2002 through Dec. 31, 2020. Settlement members are also included in an ongoing voluntary recall. HSN reached a pact with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada. Plaintiffs alleged violations of consumer protection laws, breach of warranty, and unjust enrichment. The court has not decided liability; the parties settled to avoid litigation risks.
